Kelly Taylor - Owner & President

North County St. Louis native Kelly Taylor grew up working alongside his dad - Ambassador Mid-West Floor Founder Bob Taylor - in practically every area of the business, from the warehouse to deliveries to the sales team. Kelly is passionate about taking care of customers and employees like they are family - a legacy started by Bob and ingrained into every part of the Ambassador Mid-West Experience. To Kelly, his work with customers and employees every day isn't work at all. It's a calling and a chance for him to continue building his family's legacy of making a positive difference in the community. Kelly's favorite customer service memory involves helping plan and install flooring for a St. Louis police officer wounded in the line of duty. The officer and his family were dealing with life-changing issues and needed a home with flooring to accommodate their new needs. It was a special project for all involved, reinforcing for Kelly and the Ambassador Mid-West team the impact their work can have on a family.
 
Beyond his work at Ambassador Mid-West, Kelly and his wife Laura are dedicated runners and have completed marathons in Chicago, London, Berlin, and Sydney. For many of those races, Kelly and Laura run on behalf of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, raising thousands of dollars for one of their favorite charities. While Kelly would recommend real hardwood as his favorite flooring, he definitely would not recommend adding fish or seafood of any kind to pizza, even when visiting one of his favorite beaches around the world.

Mike Lee

Mike Lee - Vice President of Sales & Operations

As a flooring industry professional who’s worked a wide variety of positions from installation craftsman to administration, Mike Lee has developed a keen eye for detail and a passion for taking care of customers. Job satisfaction for Mike is seeing a job through from the initial sale through installation to that final “reveal” with a happy customer. In his role as Vice President of Sales & Operations, Mike gets many opportunities to experience that satisfaction, in no small part due to his commitment to nurturing a culture of providing outstanding customer experiences.

Mike is a St. Louis native and enjoys riding horses and fishing on his Foristell ranch. He welcomes any opportunity to support the work of the Gary Sinise Foundation, and he’s convinced that anchovies should never be allowed to ruin a pizza.

RJ Petersen - VP of Operations and Technology

Wisconsin native RJ Petersen thrives on using technology to enhance the customer experience at Ambassador Mid-West Floor. A seasoned IT professional in the flooring industry, RJ works behind the scenes to ensure every customer has a comfortable, stress-free, and enjoyable experience transforming their home. He's a critical part of the collaborative culture at Ambassador Mid-West furthering continuous improvement to make the customer experience the best it can be. 
 
Outside of work, RJ is passionate about helping dogs find safe, loving homes through his wife's nonprofit Lucky Dog Rescue. He also enjoys being adventurous with his family and exploring the outdoors any chance he gets, although he wouldn't recommend replicating their one-time "adventure" with candy corn pizza. In his Caribbean dream home, he'd choose wide-plank white oak flooring for its timelessness, durability, and style match with just about any decor.

Laura Taylor - Showroom Manager

A talented artist with a classic, elegant style and a flair for interior decorating, Showroom Manager Laura Taylor is in high demand for her opinions on the best flooring for customer needs. Laura is dedicated to staying on top of the latest flooring trends and finding the perfect balance between new and classic looks for a home. She enjoys gathering as much information as possible from a customer on style and design, as well as lifestyle and concerns about floor care and cleaning, to choose beautiful and functional flooring options for their home. Laura’s specialty is working with customers  to keep the flooring decision process fun and exciting instead of overwhelming. When customers are excited and looking forward to seeing new floors installed in their home, she’s equally excited to see their delight with the process.

 

While Laura is a St. Louis native who loves her hometown, her dream home would be in a location that’s warm and sunny all year with lots of trees and green spaces. She’d fill it with flooring from Anderson Tuftex, since their high quality flooring ranges from wonderfully patterned and colored carpets to unique but classic hardwoods in widths, textures, and stains.

 

Laura and her husband, Ambassador Mid-West President Kelly Taylor, enjoy lake life, traveling with family and friends, and live country music in Nashville whenever they can get away for a concert. They are avid marathon runners and regularly run St. Jude marathons to help raise thousands of dollars for the children served by the research hospital. Her favorite race to date was their first St. Jude Chicago marathon, where she was amazed by the 40,000 runners and the thousands of supporters cheering them on in perfect running weather.

Outside of the showroom, Clair enjoys watching Blues hockey, weight training, and helping immigrants acclimate to living in the U.S.

St. Louis native and Parkway South High School graduate Cynthia Charleville has a natural eye for design that's invaluable to her Ambassador Mid-West customers in the Glendale showroom. Add in her degree in design and focus on learning about her customers' lifestyles, and Cynthia's services are in high demand. She finds the most rewarding part of her job to be word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied customers - when they send a family member or friend to her for flooring, Cynthia knows she's earned the trust and respect of her customers. 
 
Beyond her work at Ambassador Mid-West, Cynthia loves riding horses, going for long walks, traveling and helping animals in need. Her dream home would be somewhere not too cold with great views and architecture and featuring engineered hardwood and tile floors.

Dan Arnold - Builder Project Manager

A nearly 40 year veteran of the flooring industry, Builder Project Manager Dan Arnold is focused on giving area builders – and the homebuyer - the best possible service, not only with choosing the best flooring, but also ensuring installation starts and finishes within the promised timeframe. This is critical to the homebuilding process, and if any issues arise, Dan works to make sure they’re quickly and thoroughly resolved. He’s happy to be supported by owner Kelly Taylor as well as all his dedicated co-workers, whose pursuit of excellence permeates through the entire company.

Dan is a St. Louis native who loves boating and river life anytime he can get away, as well as spending time in his home with his favorite floors - ¾ inch solid hand scraped hardwood. He also enjoys supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital in their efforts to help children battling severe illnesses and injuries.

As the Purchase & Production Specialist for Ambassador Mid-West Floor, Lorri Chrisophel is an integral part of helping customers get the flooring they want when they want it. When occasional supply issues arise, Lorri’s excellent relationships with flooring manufacturers – built over many years of working with integrity and professionalism – help find solutions and get flooring in customers’ homes.

 

As much as Lorri enjoys managing the purchasing process at Ambassador Mid-West Floor, her dream life would be in a very different environment. Lorri would love to run a coffee & pastry shop in a classic Hallmark Christmas movie small town with easy to clean rustic luxury vinyl in her home. When she’s not planning her coffee shop menu, Lorri enjoys hanging out with her sons, watching her youngest son play hockey as the star goalie, painting furniture, and spending time with her two granddaughters.

In his spare time, Richard has been playing tennis four days a week for 50 years, enjoys going to outdoor concerts at Missouri's many wineries, and is an active supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children. His dream home in either the western peninsula of Washington or Boquete, Panama would feature French White Oak flooring and cheese pizza with no toppings.

An outdoorsman who’s equally at home in the Colorado mountains or on a jobsite installing stunning new floors, Safety & Warranty Manager Scott Delaney is a seasoned, respected professional in the flooring industry. His strategic and common-sense approach to safety has had a significant positive impact on Ambassador Mid-West Floor’s workplace safety program. In a field that’s well above the average in workplace injuries, Scott’s focused leadership has drastically reduced the accident rate with the professional installation craftspeople in the field as well as with the warehouse and headquarters staff. Ambassador’s staff is  healthier, happier, and better able to serve customers due to Scott’s commitment to keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Scott is a St. Louis native who enjoys helping customers choose the best flooring for their lifestyle and is especially partial to natural hickory wood floors for their durability and sustainability.  When he’s not at Ambassador, Scott can be found camping or supporting his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Working as an estimator gives Taylor Beesley a unique opportunity to bring a customer's vision for their home to life. She spends time listening to customers to understand their expectations as well as their needs so that she can do everything possible to make their vision a reality. Taylor enjoys collaborating with Ambassador Mid-West team members to complete goals and help give customers a five-star experience. 
 
A native of northern Michigan, Taylor is passionate about all things hockey - both watching and playing. If she didn't work at Ambassador Mid-West, she'd be a geographer/GIS analyst living in Sweden with white engineered hardwood in her dream home. She also enjoys supporting the Scientista Foundation, which empowers pre-professional women in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM) to learn, grow, and advance work in the sciences.
